Can you imagine? Beautiful untouched nature?  The breath taking mount Chilalo which is about 4500 km above the sea level at the top, in the middel water fall and diversity of natural plants, at the foot of the mountain the dens, by the government protected, ancient forest with its very huge and wide trees of thousands of years.  Additionally in the area between Arsi and Ziway you will discover  the  magnificent volcanic formed crater mountains which is not yet touched and discovered by tourists!!

 

You must not forget to walk or hiking so that you will be surprised by the local and nature attraction.  in the surrounding area, like visiting the beautiful Katar river with its water fall in different segments, which feed the lake Ziway.

 

If you like fishing then you are in the right place! There are 7 types of Tilapia fishes which can be served for your BBQ, lunch or dinner! Off course you can just relax and use the resort facilities like the restaurants and  SPA by making advance reservation. 

 

If you take a boat trip you can visit five islands on the lake Ziway with its smiley inhabitants , cultural and religion history of Ethiopia will be explained by the inhabitant.  During your boat trip to the island you will sure take a picture of divers birds, the black and white Gureza monkey, hypos, etc.. you will maybe meet fishers with a very happy face, last but not least you can find at the other side of the lake both city Ziway and Mekki!

How to reach to the resort

Golbe hill resort is located in the hart of the great rift valley just 135 km from the capital Addis Ababa.

You can drive using high way to Mojo and Mekki (new highway on construction) or via city Assela. From Mekki you have 2 and via Asella 1 options to reach the resort,

• With a car using a gravel road (future government plan to be asphalted) about 25 km
• With a boat enjoying fresh breath where your holiday starts! Takes between 40 and 60 minutes
• From the city Asella (via Adama/Nazareth and Sodere ) 45 km gravel road
